Tier 2 Tournaments
Super Championship 

There are two types of Super Championship Tier 2 tournaments. Please note that participants should refer to the tournament homepage for specific details related to their event.
 

FIQ THROUGH R16 – 64A Draw (January)
 

AGE

  • 12s and 14s age divisions are hosted at one location (Houston)

  • 16s and 18s age divisions are hosted at another location (San Antonio)

 

FORMAT

  • Feed-in Consolation through Round of 16

 

DIVISIONS
 

Singles

  • A draw of 64 players; B draw of 32 players; feed-in through Round of 16

  • Players who lose in Quarterfinals will be placed into separate consolation bracket of 4 players; winner receives 5th place points

  • Players who lose in the Semifinals will enter into a playoff match to receive 3rd place points

  • 14s-18s Main Draws – Best 2 of 3 full sets

  • 12s Main Draw / All Consolation Draws – Best 2 of 3 sets with 10-point tiebreakers in lieu of 3rd set
     

Doubles

  • A draw of 32 teams; B draw of 16 teams; single elimination

  • All Draws – 8 game Pro-Sets
     

SELECTION AND SEEDING

  • The most recent Standing List after the entry deadline is used for seeding.

 

ENTRY FEE

  • 1 event (singles or doubles) - $66, plus $5.45 TennisLink fee ($71.45)

  • 2 events (singles and doubles) - $66, plus $6 TennisLink Fee ($72)
     

LENGTH
 

  • Singles

    • A draw events are held from Saturday to Tuesday

    • B draw events are held from Saturday to Monday

  • Doubles

    • A draw events are held from Saturday to Monday

    • B draw events are held from Saturday to Sunday
       

POINTS

SINGLES EXCELLENCE (February / October)
 

AGE

  • 12s and 16s age divisions are hosted at one location

  • 14s and 18s age divisions are hosted at another location
     

FORMAT

Singles Excellence tournaments only consist of singles draws. Below are the possible options for Singles Excellence formats, and the chosen format is based on the individual event and its entries.

  • Compass

  • Round Robin (RR)
     

DIVISIONS

  • One A draw of 16 players

  • One B draw of 16 players (Two B draws if divisions are 80 or larger)

  • Multiple C draws of 16 players

  • One D draw of remaining players may be created, if necessary

  • All Draws – Best 2 of 3 full sets
     

SELECTION AND SEEDING

  • The most recent Standing List after the entry deadline is used for seeding.
     

ENTRY FEE

1 event (singles) - $56, plus $4.70 TennisLink fee ($60.70)

LENGTH

Events for all draws are held from Saturday to Sunday
