Tier 1 Tournaments
Super Championship

SUPER CHAMPIONSHIP TIER STRUCTURE

There are two types of Super Championship Tier 1 tournaments. Please note that participants should refer to the tournament homepage for specific details related to their event.
 

 

FIQ – TEXAS SLAM (June)

 

AGE

  • Applies to players in 12s-18s age divisions

  • Hosted at one location (Abilene)
     

FORMAT

  • Feed-in Consolation through Quarterfinals
     

DIVISIONS
 

Singles

  • All players in the same draw for each event; no limit on number of players per draw; feed-in through Quarters

  • Players who lose in the Semifinals will enter into a playoff match to receive 3rd place points

  • All Main Draws – Best 2 of 3 full sets

  • All Consolation Draws – Best 2 of 3 sets with 10-point tiebreakers in lieu of 3rd set
     

Doubles

  • All players in the same draw for each event; no limit on number of players per draw; single elimination

  • First Round - Quarterfinals – 8-game Pro-Sets

  • Semifinals and Finals – Best 2 of 3 full sets

 

SELECTION AND SEEDING

  • The most recent Standing List after the entry deadline is used for seeding.
     

ENTRY FEE

  • 1 event (singles or doubles) - $86, plus $6.95 TennisLink fee ($92.95)

  • 2 events (singles and doubles) - $86, plus $7.46 TennisLink fee ($93.46)

  • Make sure to book your hotel through USTA for a special rate. The link for hotels can be found on the Texas Slam site

 

 

DOUBLES EXCELLENCE (April)
 

AGE

  • Applies to players in 12s-18s age divisions

  • Hosted at one location (Austin)
     

FORMAT

  • Doubles Excellence tournaments only consist of doubles draws. Below are the possible options for Doubles Excellence formats, and the chosen format is based on the individual event and its entries.

    • Compass

    • Round Robin (RR)
       

DIVISIONS

  • One A draw of 16 teams

  • Multiple B draws of 16 teams

  • One C draw of remaining players may be created, if necessary

  • All Draws – Best 2 of 3 full sets
     

SELECTION AND SEEDING

  • The most recent Standing List after the entry deadline is used for seeding.
     

ENTRY FEE

  • $31 per partner, plus $3 TennisLink fee ($34)
     

LENGTH

  • Events for all draws are held from Saturday to Sunday
